FIATA- International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations. The organization regulates the freight and logistics industries based on international conventions. FIATA has 109 Association members and more than 5,500 individual members. The members represent a total of 40,000 freight forwarders and logistics companies worldwide. FIATA was founded in 1926 in Vienna, Austria and took its name from its French abbreviation Fédération Internationale des Associations de Transitaires et Assimilés. Also known as 'Transport Architects', FIATA has Association members and Individual members in about 150 countries.
